Location: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Department: Warehouse & Logistics
Reports To: Operations Head / Supply Chain Manager
Salary Range: 25,000 40,000 per month (based on experience and capability)
Role Overview
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for complete warehouse operations, including inward material handling, storage, inventory control, dispatch management, manpower supervision, labour handling, fleet coordination, and ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the warehouse facility. The role requires strong leadership, planning ability, and operational discipline to maintain accuracy, speed, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations Management
Oversee end-to-end warehouse activities: receiving, unloading, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Ensure efficient space utilization and warehouse layout planning.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse conditions.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
2. Inward Handling & Inventory Control
Supervise unloading, GRN creation, and quantity/quality verification.
Ensure accurate inventory with bin locations, labeling, and system entries.
Conduct regular stock audits and resolve discrepancies.
Follow FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable.
Coordinate with procurement and accounts for reconciliation.
3. Dispatch & Logistics Coordination
Manage order picking, packing, and timely dispatch to dealers/customers.
Plan daily dispatch schedules for fast and cost-effective delivery.
Coordinate with transporters, fleet operators, and courier partners.
Track shipment delivery, POD collection, and closure.
Control and optimize freight costs and vehicle utilization.
4. Team, Labour & Productivity Management
Supervise warehouse staff, helpers, loaders, and contract labour.
Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and maintain discipline.
Manage attendance, shift planning, and workforce efficiency.
Train team on material handling, safety, and SOP compliance.
5. Fleet & Equipment Management
Monitor forklifts, pallet trucks, loading tools, and handling equipment.
Ensure proper vehicle usage, maintenance coordination, and safety.
Prevent material damage during loading/unloading.
6. Documentation, ERP & Reporting
Maintain accurate inward/outward records, stock movement, and returns data.
Perform real-time ERP or warehouse system entries.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
Coordinate with sales, accounts, and head office teams.
7. Safety, Security & Compliance
Ensure fire safety, statutory compliance, and warehouse security.
Prevent theft, pilferage, and stock damage.
Maintain audit readiness and insurance documentation.
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and dispatch planning.
Experience in team handling, labour supervision, and transporter coordination.
Familiarity with ERP systems, stock audits, and MIS reporting.
Good leadership, discipline, and problem-solving ability.
Capability to work under dispatch pressure and timelines.
Qualification & Experience
Graduate in any discipline (Logistics/Supply Chain preferred).
47 years of relevant warehouse experience, preferably in agricultural machinery, automobile, engineering, or spare parts industry.
