JOB DESCRIPTION
HR Generalist, HR Operations, Shared Service Generalist:
Process Hire to Retire transactions which may include:
o Create/ update positions/Process requisitions
o Create New Employee records
o Provide new hire info to Payroll/ Benefits
o Update Job and Salary related Changes
o Creating of employee verification letters
o Changes to employee data
o Process Job Requisition (Create & Amend Requisition)
o Receive info on mass upload and make changes
o Employment Reference Letters/verification of Employment letters (Digitally)
o Update Voluntary and involuntary exit Data in System
o Support in updating Redundancy and redeployment activities in updating Employee data in system
o Support invoicing activities
UK PAYROLL
Ensure complete pay information is properly recorded and accurately calculated for each payroll cycle
Review payroll reports to identify potential problems; contact field units to resolve discrepancies, as needed
Review quality assurance reports that pertain to hourly and salary payroll
Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
Ensures that payrolls are processed, and services are delivered accurately and in a timely manner for all clients assigned
Manage the preparation of all State and Federal tax obligations
Ensures compliance with the applicable payroll related statutory rules and regulations (i.e., income tax, social security, etc.) and labor law requirements by studying existing and new legislations, enforcing adherence to their requirements
Work on payroll error reports
Process exception payments and off-cycles
Perform Gross-to-net calculations and payroll validations
Maintain payroll system up-to-date and accurate
Coordinate and process employee payrolls weekly, bi-monthly & monthly
Prepare reports required for audit operations
Respond to payroll queries and concerns from employees
Generate periodic and ad-hoc payroll reports to management
HR Quality
Key Responsibilities
- Act as singlePoint of Contact (SPOC) for all HRO quality-related activities
- Conduct quality audits and process reviews across HR operations (Hire-to-Retire)
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, SLAs, policies, and compliance standards
- Analyze quality metrics, identify gaps, and drive root cause analysis (RCA)
- Conduct Risk assessment frameworks
- Prepare and present quality reports, dashboards, and insights to stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and corrective/preventive actions
- Support internal and external audits and ensure closure of findings
- Provide quality feedback, coaching, and training to HR operations teams
- Collaborate with process owners to standardize and optimize HR processes
- Maintain quality scorecards, audit trackers, and compliance dashboards
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HR operations (Payroll, Benefits, Onboarding, offboarding, Employee Lifecycle, etc.)
- Experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control frameworks
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
- Stakeholder management and effective communication skills
- Proficiency in Oracle, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and HR systems/tools
- Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Good to have Lean/ Quality Certified
