Job Description

Role Overview- Windows Server

Responsible for assessing current Windows Server environments, identifying gaps, and designing secure, scalable, and resilient architectures for Active Directory , core services, and workloads across on-premises, virtualized, and hybrid/cloud deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Discovery

• Inventory Windows Server estate (versions, roles, virtualization, storage, network dependencies).
• Assess Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and core services (DFS, IIS, PKI, clustering).
• Review security posture, patching, backup, DR, and monitoring practices.

Design

• Define target-state architecture for AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and clustered workloads.
• Plan HA/DR strategies, security baselines, and hybrid integrations (Azure AD Connect, Arc).
• Develop migration plans, patching strategies, and monitoring frameworks (SCOM).

Governance

• Create HLD/LLD, SOPs, and lifecycle standards.
• Establish RBAC models, compliance checks, and operational handover documentation.

Collaboration

• Work with app, DB, network, and security teams to validate dependencies.
• Provide design reviews and knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications

• 710+ years in Windows Server design and administration.
• Expertise in AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, clustering, and security hardening.
• Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), patching (WSUS/MECM), and monitoring (SCOM).
• Strong PowerShell scripting and documentation skills.
