Job Title: AVP Accounts & Finance (Manufacturing CO)
Location: Chennai
Industry: Manufacturing / Building Materials
Reporting To: Managing Director

Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Finance Leadership (Multi-Location Operations)
Lead finance and accounts functions across multiple manufacturing plants.
Act as a finance business partner to Plant Heads and Operations teams.
Ensure daily financial discipline and control at plant level.
Conduct periodic plant visits to review operations, inventory, and cost controls.
Drive accountability for plant-level profitability and cost efficiency.

2. Manufacturing Costing & Inventory Control
Oversee raw material accounting, WIP accounting, finished goods valuation, and scrap accounting.
Manage standard costing, actual costing, and variance analysis (material, labor, overhead).
Ensure accurate BOM costing and periodic cost sheet validation.
Monitor yield analysis, production losses, and efficiency ratios.
Strengthen physical inventory controls and coordinate stock audits.
Implement cost optimization initiatives in coordination with plant teams.

3. Plant-Level Financial Controls & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Pollution Control norms, environmental regulations, and plant-related statutory requirements.
Monitor statutory payments including GST, TDS, PF/ESI (in coordination with HR).
Ensure timely renewal of plant licenses, approvals, and certifications.
Maintain readiness for plant inspections and cost audits.
Strengthen internal financial controls (IFC) at plant level.

5. Working Capital & Treasury Operations
Monitor plant-level working capital including receivables, payables, and inventory days.
Optimize cash conversion cycle and inventory holding patterns.
Support fund flow planning and coordination with central treasury.
Assist in managing banking relationships related to plant operations.

6. Budgeting & Performance Monitoring
Lead plant-wise annual budgeting and monthly forecasting exercises.
Conduct detailed variance analysis (production, overhead, procurement pricing).
Develop plant performance dashboards including:
Cost per unit
Capacity utilization
Contribution margins
Yield and wastage metrics
Present plant financial performance to MD and senior leadership.

7. IPO Readiness (Operational Finance Focus)
Ensure plant-level financial data accuracy and audit readiness for IPO.
Strengthen documentation, cost records, and inventory valuation frameworks.
Support statutory and internal audit during IPO due diligence.
Align plant reporting with listed-company governance standards.

Candidate Profile
Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory.
1018 years of experience in manufacturing finance, preferably in multi-plant environment.
Strong hands-on exposure to plant accounting and manufacturing costing.
Deep understanding of inventory control, cost audit, and operational finance.
Experience working closely with production and plant leadership teams.
Strong ERP exposure (SAP/Oracle/Manufacturing ERP systems).
Willingness to travel frequently across plant locations.
Strong execution-oriented and operational mindset.
