Role Description

We are seeking an exceptional engineer to build our next-generation broadcast distribution platform that combines SRT-based video streaming with real-time AI-powered video analytics.

Qualifications

Design and develop SRT encoder/decoder applications for Android-based appliances

Implement HDMI capture and hardware-accelerated video encoding

Create resilient streaming pipelines with automatic failover and recovery

Develop centralized device management and monitoring systems

• Develop and optimize encoding, decoding, and transcoding pipelines for live video streams
• Troubleshoot network performance issues including latency, packet loss, and jitter
• Integrate SRT capabilities into existing media workflows and broadcasting systems
• Document technical specifications, API integrations, and system architectures
• Strong knowledge of Digital Video systems and workflows
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative on-site environment
• Prior experience in media or broadcasting is a must.

Skills Required

1-3 years of work experience in relevant field

Strong understanding of SRT protocol, MPEG-TS over SRT, FFmpeg GStreamer (SRT plugin)

Understanding of H.264 / H.265 video codecs and Knowledge of AAC / MP2 audio codecs

Strong Python, OpenCV for video frame analysis and NumPy for signal processing

Knowledge of audio analysis libraries (librosa / torchaudio)

Ability to implement Black frame detection, Freeze detection, Scene change detection, Audio silence detection and AV sync monitoring

Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow (preferred for AI-based analytics)

Strong understanding of UDP networking fundamentals

Understanding of NAT traversal and firewall configurations

Strong experience with Linux (CentOS / Ubuntu)

Understanding of MPEG-TS timing (PCR, PTS/DTS)

Basic knowledge of SMPTE timecodes
