Role Overview:

As a Motion Graphics Video Editor at YAAS, you'll be responsible for creating visually compelling content for both short-form and long-form platforms. Your work will directly contribute to our reputation for producing some of the best motion graphic editing in the industry, particularly on acclaimed YouTube channels like (Full Disclosure)( , Breakdown , and NRI Shala .

This role demands technical expertise, creative vision, and an understanding of audience retention strategies and is one of the key roles within the YAAS!

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver high-quality motion graphics for either short-form videos OR 4 long-form videos.
• Transform scripts and concepts into visually engaging content that maintains viewer retention
• Apply advanced editing techniques, visual effects, and motion graphics to enhance storytelling
• Collaborate with scriptwriters and content strategists to ensure visual elements align with narrative goals
• Optimise content for platform-specific requirements (Instagram, YouTube) with attention to algorithmic performance
• Maintain consistent brand identity and visual standards across all content
• Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment without compromising quality

Requirements:

• Proven proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics expertise and visual storytelling ability
• Deep understanding of design principles, colour theory, and typography in motion
• Experience with retention-first editing techniques specifically optimised for YouTube and Instagram
• Basic understanding of platform algorithms and audience engagement metrics
• Ability to interpret scripts and transform written content into compelling visual narratives
• Time management skills to handle production volume while maintaining quality standards
• Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to iterate based on feedback
