Video Editor (Preferred from Advertising Industry)

Jagran New Media is hiring Video Editor for its Production house,.

Job Responsibilities:

Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in

the correct format.

Deliverables: Corporate videos, testimonial videos, commercial ads, DVCs, TVCs, event

videos, explainer videos, social media reels and motion graphics films.

Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation

Editing Skills: Take a brief to grasp production teams needs and specifications. Review

shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and

contribution to continuity.

Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film with dialogues and

graphics.

Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.

Create rough and final cuts.

Understanding of Sound recording, Music compositing, and special effects

Improve video and sound quality using various video software

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong organizational skills to manage

multiple projects simultaneously. Be a great communicator, receive and interpret feedback,

and meet tight deadlines.

Pre requisite:

Proven work experience as a Senior Video Editor

Bachelors degree in film studies, cinematography or related field

Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Premiere, After

Effects and Final Cut, Audition, Capcut, Davinci Resolve)

Knowledge of production and cinematography experience

Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio

Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions

Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing.

Understanding of video formats, compression techniques and format.

Creative mind and storytelling skills.

Thorough knowledge of timing and continuity.

Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industrys best practices

to maximize efficiency.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
