Role: Vice President-Design & Chapters Lead

Job Purpose:
Design Chapter Lead is one of the most critical role in VIL's journey of becoming a technology company and ambition to be a digital telco. Design chapter lead will lead UX/UI and Visual designers with-in the digital tribe and will be responsible for design thinking in everything we do. As a chapter lead, the individual will help build the design process, and push the envelope of where design and business meet to deliver compelling design solutions for VIL customers. You'll be responsible for the overall quality of design output and its contribution to project objectives, actively collaborating with Business stakeholders, Product owners and development leads. You will manage and oversee the delivery of a range of projects and product builds, defining product scope, goals, milestones and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders. Design chapter lead will also train, mentor and direct other designers in the development of interactive prototypes with initial, low fidelity visual designs that present a realistic feel of the intended experience to finished products which our customers love.
Key Result Areas/Accountabilities:
- Interaction and Visual design ownership for all digital products Responsible for developing and managing all aspects of design and creative output.
- Facilitate product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
- Take a lead role in managing design and creative elements of all digital products.
- Managing the design team and vendor partner team members as required and helping develop design practices and skills, influencing design led thinking across the business.
- Influencing design led thinking across the business.
- Apply and reinforce standard designs principles aligned to VIL brands.
- Ensuring that design and creative items as needed by squads or other stakeholders are delivered on time.
- Ensure agile ways of working are promoted within the design chapter.
- Develop and manage productivity and to continuously improve the design team's production capabilities.
Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience :
- Extensive knowledge in digital interface design and experience with software development.
- Well-rounded user-centered design portfolio spanning e.g. web, mobile, tablet, and potentially consumer products or media.
- Proficiency in relevant graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe suite, OmniGraffle, Balsamic, Azure or other tools).
- Experience with conducting user research, usability testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping
- Integrity and process oriented individual.
Must have Technical/ Professional Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design, Interface Design, Human Computer Interaction, Service Design, (Graphic) Design with emphasis on UX or equivalent qualification.
