We are hiring for Vice President - Principal Software Engineer - Java Development based in Mumbai

Roles & Responsblities:

As a VP Java Development, you will play a critical role in designing, modernizing, and building high-performance platforms supporting Global Markets Front & Middle Office businesses across regions (EMEA, US, Japan, APAC).

This role requires hands-on development , technical leadership, and close collaboration with global business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on development while mentoring and guiding junior engineers
• Own technical design, architecture, and solutioning for complex systems
• Modernize existing platforms using the right technology stack
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Drive end-to-end delivery across the SDLC (design, development, testing, L3 support)
• Collaborate with global teams on requirements, delivery, and production support
• Ensure high-quality delivery within timelines and best practices

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• 13+ years of hands-on Java experience (Java 8+)
• Strong experience with Spring & Spring Boot
• Experience with caching solutions (Gemfire, Redis)
• Experience with middleware/messaging (Kafka, Solace, Pulsar)
• Java testing frameworks (JUnit , mocking frameworks)
• CI/CD & DevOps tools: Maven, Jenkins, Git, Ansible
• Strong OOP, design patterns, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working on Linux & Windows environments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in global teams

Desirable Skills

• Investment Banking / Capital Markets domain experience
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
• Knowledge of Python or C#/.Net
• Exposure to Big Data technologies (Spark, Parquet, Dremio)
• Experience with ActivePivot
