Designation: Vice President - AI


Reporting to: Chief Product Officer


Mission

Architect and drive PeopleStrongs AI transformationbuilding an industry-defining Center of Excellence that enables embedded, agentic, and generative AI across 14+ product lines and delivers enterprise-scale impact for millions of users.


Strategic Objectives

  • AI Product Innovation:
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of embedded AIa strategic blend of agentic, generative, and predictive solutions powering payroll, attendance, analytics, reporting, and HR workflows.
  • Business Value Creation:
  • Champion the commercial impact of AI, driving top-line ARR, client acquisition/retention, expansion in both SME and enterprise segments, and operational efficiencies.
  • Organizational Leadership:
  • Launch and scale PeopleStrongs AI vertical. Recruit, mentor, empower, and upskill talent to foster a culture of innovation and rapid experimentation.
  • Industry Advocacy:
  • Represent PeopleStrongs AI vision with the board, exec team, clients, and ecosystem partners, shaping market narratives and elevating our brand as an agentic AI pioneer in HR technology.


Core Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the AI/ML strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market approach aligned to overall product and geographic expansion goals.
  • Oversee development of flagship AI features for real-world production (not just R&D), collaborating deeply with Product, Engineering, and UX leaders.
  • Drive experimentationconceiving, piloting, and scaling next-gen HR/payroll solutions leveraging GenAI, LLMs, vertical AI, federated learning, and data automation.
  • Create clear metrics/KPIs focused on commercial impact, client success, and operational improvement, refining as product maturity and AI sophistication grow.
  • Own data strategygovernance, infrastructure, privacy, and IP; ensure responsible AI standards and compliance in all domains.
  • Engage directly with the board, enterprise clients, and strategic partners to accelerate adoption, build credibility, and make AI central to business outcomes.


Ideal Profile

  • Masters/PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or relevant field (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in ML/AI and software product development, including 4+ years in enterprise SaaS leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in delivering products at scale (payroll, HCM, analytics, workflow automation or similar verticals strongly preferred).
  • Technical fluency preferred: Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, GenAI/LLMs, cloud stack (AWS, Azure, GCP), vector databases, orchestration frameworks and robust data infrastructure.
  • Deep experience building, leading, and scaling specialized AI teams; strong mentorship, recruitment, and org design skills.
  • Exceptional influence and executive presenceable to communicate vision to the board, cross-functional teams, and customers.
  • High growth mindset, passion for market expansion, and sense of urgency to innovate in complex SaaS environments.
  • Knowledge of HR/payroll domain and data privacy mandates (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) a strong plus.
