• 15+ years of hands-on experience Strong experience in designing, building, and maintaining cloud data platform infrastructure and tools, utilizing either AWS or on-prem infrastructure
• Data Engineering, hands on exp on Big data engines Spark / pySpark engine
• Kubernetes, Helm handson
• Hands-on exposure to Python or Unix Shell Script
• Strong understanding of cloud services and their integration with data platforms
• Experience with security and compliance measures for cloud data platforms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• This Kubernetes based platform with S3 compatible object store and analytics query engine is the core Data Lakehouse platform for risk analysis serving multiple internal applications and adhoc-queries against over a petabyte of data.
• This platform also serves in a hybrid mode connecting to multiple datastores and databases both on-prem and in the AWS cloud. This platform supports applications including Java, Python, and Spark-based data pipelines and SQL, Python, and other BI and AI based analytics.
• The S3 compatible object storage is the primary store of billions of objects collected from hundreds of different sources both on-prem and in AWS cloud.
• This key role would be working with world wide resources to continue development and maintenance of this platform.

• Become a trusted advisor for our platform to senior management, business stake holders, applications teams, and your fellow platform developers.
• Understand technology landscape, recognize challenges and opportunities and translate it into an actionable roadmap.
• Need strong skills on Data engineering , understanding the internals of how big data , query engine works.
• Help design and implement platform as a code and CI/CD processes on-prem and on AWS.
• Support what you and the team develops.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business and application teams.
• Design, build, and maintain our cloud data platform infrastructure and tools for on-prem infrastructure, hybrid deployment with AWS and other relevant tools as necessary.
• Develop automation scripts and tools for streamlined deployment and management of the data platform.
• Collaborate with the data engineering and analytics teams to understand their requirements and ensure the data platform meets their needs.
• Monitor the performance and health of the cloud data platform, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Develop and implement security and compliance measures to ensure the cloud data platform is secure and compliant with relevant regulations.
• Continuously improve the data platform to ensure it is scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.
• Implement and maintain a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for the data platform.
