What does a Vice President of People Operations (Human Resources) really do? Think of yourself as responsible for leading the Human Resources Operations functions for TaskUs in North America and Latin America. Since our culture and our people are at the core of our business strategy, the future growth and health of our company rest on your ability to attract and retain the very best talent in the industry. Your role will be very strategic in driving growth and development while having the Operational know-how to ideate process improvements and build an effective and high-performing Human Resource infrastructure - that is poised to support the success of our organization. So we need your full concentration because it’s time to imagine what it’s like being the Vice President of People Operations at TaskUs.
Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind as the lead for the People Operations department makes sure that talent and cultural needs of the organization are met. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it will lead to one thing: that as the VP of People Ops, you will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource functions.
As the VP of People Ops, you will oversee all aspects of human resources processes including employee relations, performance management, training and development, succession planning, organizational change, employee disciplinary actions, and ensuring legal labor compliance. You will also resolve employee relations issues, manage the annual performance appraisal process, implement employee engagement activities, manage the relationships among various departments and leadership teams.
You also have to ensure their implementation as well as provide guidance on proper interpretation/application of HR policies. Lastly, you must be able to coach, mentor, and develop HR leaders on best practices and people management

Responsibilities
Coordinate and consult with country HR partners to deliver regional activities
Coordinate and ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of global priorities and life cycle processes
Deliver HR services and build capabilities to drive organizational performance through individuals and managers as well as identify issues and recommend solutions
Responsible for HR delivery and implementation across the employee lifecycle
Partner with business managers to resolve Employee Relations (ER) issues, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and risks are assessed
Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs to fill the identified gaps
Last but not the least, you must be the living representative of our Core Values - understanding the “Why?” in providing value to our great culture.
Must be willing to travel 50% of the time internationally and domestically.
Qualifications
At least 10 years of leadership and senior management experience
Experience working in Latin American operations, with an understanding of the cultural nuances of the region
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Working knowledge of HR functions
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required
A proven business partner with a demonstrable track record of contributing to growing a business, both in terms of revenue, profit and geographic footprint
A strong understanding of the key market drivers and potential issues which may affect the business and its customers is essential
Good personal presence and a strong personal leadership style combined with a confident, entrepreneurial and hard-working approach are critical to the success of this role
