Vice President Finance - Gurugram


Job Summary:

A leading SaaS based software company is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President Finance to lead the finance function during a high-growth phase. This role will partner closely with leadership to drive financial strategy, governance, operational excellence, and value creation. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, deep compliance expertise, and experience in scaling finance operations in technology-driven organizations.

Designation: Vice President- Finance


Roles & Reponsibilities:

1. Business Finance & Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with organizational growth objectives
  • Build business finance models for new initiatives, expansion, and strategic investments
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and rolling 12-month / 3-year financial plans
  • Conduct business case and capital allocation analysis, including pricing and investment decisions
  • Monitor KPIs; prepare executive dashboards and Board management reports
  • Analyze unit economics, contribution margins, and profitability across segments and geographies
  • Provide financial insights to support growth, cost optimization, and resource allocation
  • Lead quarterly and annual budget cycles, including variance and scenario analysis

2. Financial Reporting & Controllership

  • Oversee accurate and compliant financial reporting in accordance with IND-AS
  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance with CARO, GST, Income Tax, and statutory requirements
  • Manage external audits and regulatory interfaces
  • Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance
  • Oversee AP/AR, cash flow, and working capital management
  • Ensure proper documentation, ledger integrity, and statutory record maintenance
  • Address audit findings and drive corrective actions

3. Governance, Legal & Secretarial

  • Liaise with legal and company secretarial functions to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Ensure adherence to Companies Act, FEMA, and applicable corporate laws
  • Oversee Board and shareholder meetings, documentation, and ROC filings
  • Monitor regulatory changes and maintain statutory records and authorization trails
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on contracts and corporate matters
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory mandates

4. M&A, Fundraising & Investor Relations

  • Lead financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and investment recommendations
  • Develop financial models for M&A and integration planning
  • Support capital raising through investor presentations and financial documentation
  • Manage investor communication and transaction coordination
  • Evaluate partnership and acquisition opportunities and track post-deal ROI

5. Systems, Automation & Process Excellence

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team across controllership and business finance
  • Define team structure, performance standards, and career development paths
  • Foster a culture of accountability, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with HR on hiring, performance management, and succession planning
  • Drive change management for new systems and processes

6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with CEO/COO on strategic planning and financial decisions
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Operations on performance and profitability analysis
  • Support pricing, deal evaluation, and commercial decision-making
  • Oversee financial evaluation of technology investments
  • Maintain strong relationships with investors, auditors, lenders, and regulators
  • Provide financial perspective on strategic and organizational decisions


Role Requirements:

  • 5+ years in leadership roles
  • Experience in at least two of the following:

- SaaS or technology finance

- M&A and corporate transactions

- Fundraising and investor management

- ERP/process automation

- High-growth/startup environments


Education: Qualified CA/ CPA/ MBA or advanced business qualification


Experience: 1215+ years in corporate or technology finance


Working days: Monday to Friday
