Vice President - ETrading and Algo Trading

Were looking for an experienced Electronic Trading Risk & Control Manager (VP). This is a senior role where youll combine electronic trading risk expertise, stakeholder engagement, and strong control execution to ensure global risk and control framework remains robust and future-ready.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance controls across the algorithm lifecycle, automated controls, and electronic trading platforms (OMS, EMS, D2C)
• Ensure governance, compliance, and risk management of electronic and algorithmic trading activities
• Respond to risk issues, internal reviews, and regulatory inquiries (MiFID II, MAR, SEC 15(c), SS518, etc.)
• Design tools to monitor trading risks and perform pre- & post-trade control testing
• Collaborate with business heads and risk managers to strengthen operating models and deliver strategic transformation initiatives
• Maintain an algo inventory and support regulatory remediation projects

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.

Required Skills

• 10 + Years of strong experience into electronic trading / algo trading risk management within investment banking or top-tier consultancy
• Knowledge of risk & control frameworks, governance, and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with electronic trading systems (OMS, EMS, D2C) and financial products (fixed income, currencies)
• Technical skills in SQL (data queries) and ideally Python (analysis/automation)
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
