Chief Data Office (CDO) - Global Technology Solutions at State Street is rolling out multiple initiatives to create business value for Clients and SS business units by leveraging enterprise data and analytics.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic data technology leader to lead the growth charter for our CDO organization

Role Summary & Role Description

As Data Technology Solutions Lead, you will

Provide technical leadership to data technology solutions, design and programs involving Cloud Data Engineering, Migration and Modernization, Reference and Market Data Management, Data Science and GenAI
Engage in Technical Architecture and Design forums, Product Roadmap discussions to conduct code reviews to ensure solution meets business requirements and quality of deliverables
Work collaboratively with Vendor Partners and other IT functions like Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Network Infrastructure and Platforms etc. to deliver cohesive and efficient solutions
Focus on talent management and retention; coach, mentor, and guide team members to create an engaged and growth-oriented team, including third party resources and consultants

Core/Must have skills

You must be hands-on on data technology implementations and contribute as a software lead.
Must have 20+ years’ experience, with hands-on experience on Cloud platform (AWS, Azure), Big Data Technologies (Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop Couldera etc), Data Fabric, Data Mesh, Data Virtualization (Starburst, Presto etc), Data Integration, and middle-tier microservices development using, Java8+, Spring Boot and related frameworks.
Must have 5+ years’ experience on messaging, workflows, batch, enterprise integration based on files or messages.
Must have experience in leading large technical teams from diverse skills, experiences, to deliver in fast paced environment.
Must have understanding of 12 factors apps and microservice architectures, different messaging platforms like IBM MQ, Kafka especially in cloud environment.
Must have strong communications skills and ability to collaborate with people from across the geography.

Good to have skills

Knowledge and experience on Data Governance tools, platforms [e.g. Collibra] and policies
Experience in proprietary or open source messaging, batch, integrations or BPMN solutions.
Exposure on containers/CI-CD and orchestration frameworks/tools. Good to have experience on AKS/EKS/GKS etc.
Fair understanding of Investment Management Industry, including Regulatory and Compliance requirements that apply to data management and operations

Exposure on Data Science and GEnAI use cases will be a plus
