Job Description

Overview

VFX Editors are responsible for collating and incorporating all VFX shots into the current edit. In the early stages this may mean, storyboards, Animatics, PreVis/Post Vis and live action. As post-production progresses, they will collate all dailies submissions into the current edit. They run the dailies session in collaboration with the Supervision team. They must carefully manage past submissions to allow VFX Supervisors/Directors to compare progress through iterations. They work closely with Editorial and Production to manage all incoming media and outgoing deliverable.


Roles & Responsibilities

Working closely with the director to create the VFX blueprint of the video.

Work closely with producers to manage all incoming media and outgoing

deliverables.

Incorporating and updating all required versions of visual effects shots into the

current cuts of the VFX / live-action sequences.

Perform short specific colour corrections to match editorial references when

required.

Ensuring shadows, camera reflections, etc. are edited out of the final film.

Work in partnership with other members of the team to ensure shots are delivered

to the very highest standards while maintaining schedules.


Key Requirements

You have solid prior experience as a Visual Effects Editor and a strong portfolio of

sample projects.

You possess sound technical knowledge of 3D animation, motion graphics and

VFX.

You have strong expertise in editing software such as Premiere Pro, After Effect,

Photoshop and Final Cut Pro.

You are organized and with high attention to detail.

You can deliver high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines.
