Job Description
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Veterinarian role. As a Veterinarian at Legit Farms, you will oversee the health and well-being of our farm animals, ensure compliance with ethical animal treatment practices, and develop preventive health care protocols. Responsibilities include conducting regular health checks, diagnosing illnesses, providing treatment, and advising on nutrition and care to maintain optimal animal welfare. Additionally, you will collaborate with the farm management team to integrate sustainable and eco-friendly animal care practices in alignment with the farms mission.
Qualifications
- Veterinary clinical skills, including experience in diagnosing and treating livestock or poultry
- Knowledge of animal health and food safety regulations and standards
- Ability to develop and implement preventive healthcare procedures for livestock
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with farm teams
- Passion for ethical animal treatment, sustainability, and eco-friendly agricultural practices
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Active veterinary license and relevant certifications in animal health and welfare
- Experience working in agricultural or farm environments preferred
