Vertical Lead - Programs - FBS

Purpose:

To develop Full Built buses, as per the Customer / Marketing requirement, to meet the Price Targets and Quality Levels, Regulatory standards, Company Objectives. This Role involves Collborating with Croof Functional Teams, to Enhance USP of the product, Innovative products to the current competition, Cost optimization, and process improvements , market-ready vehicle solutions that strengthen Ashok Leyland’s competitive position.

STU

·        STU base tender spec. Stduy for Homologation & Seating layout verification inline with Tender requirement.

·        Getting RFQ from BB’s and vetting the final Price including VAVE etc., and submit to Mktg.

·        Preparation of 2 page spec and sign off with Stake Holders.

·        Execution of First Proto inline with Tender Requirement

·        Homologation and Certification of Fully Built Bus, inline with the design and Proto inspection by ARAI Etc.

New Product Development ( New Project - FBS)

·        Collection of Feedback inputs from Various stake holders, ie) Customer, Mktg., Service & Quality functions.

·        BOM Cost verification inline with the Target by Mktg.

·        Preparation of General 2 page spec and Layout for the Requirements.

·        Desig support for 3D CAD model and verification of Fully built bus design thro External Consultant.

·        Parts development support as per the design.

·        Proto build as per the design at BB end, and sign off with stake holders.

New Product Development ( AL-PD design)

·        Preparation of BOM list along with Price and share to BB.

·        Proto development support at BB inline with Quality Requirement.

Proto build sign off with stake holders. 

Challenges:

·        Price Quote preparation for STU tender inline with Marketing Target.

·        Creating New design of Bus Body ( Sunshine Eco)  to cater tech Price target and timeline with external engineering consultants.

·        Providing online solutions for  Bus Body Design / development.

·        Proactive analysis of Bus body design for field concerns.

Qualification & Experience

·        Minimum Years of experience:  - 20 + years

·        Prior experience: Design and Manufacturing knowledge, Bus Body Costing exposure, Solutions to on job issues., New Material knowledge exposure Etc.
