Job Description
High-Level Position Purpose:
The Value Engineering Analyst will be part of Value Engineering function under Lead Logistics Products Global team. The Value Engineering Analyst reports into the Senior Solution Engineers/ GSC Maersk Solutions & Services Lead. The role contributes to supply chain value engineering for Maersk customers.
The Value Engineering Analyst will partner with the following teams with in Maersk
- BI team
- Global Product owners
- Regional and Growth Product teams
- Customer Implementation
- Customer Program Management
- CX team
- Supply Chain Development KC/Runway
And will directly work on customer opportunities to develop & maintain Value Engineering platform, develop value models & data analysis.
This position is a key step to build a long and successful career in supply chain solutions, especially within the global organization of Maersk. In addition to growth opportunities within the team, the mentorship, trainings, and on-the-ground learnings will motivate and inspire candidates towards becoming an expert on supply chains solutions.
Job Description Summary
As part of the Value Engineering and GSC, the Value Engineering Analyst is responsible for:
- Develop & Maintain Value Engineering (VR) Platform: Maintain VR platform using Power Apps
- Data Analysis: Conduct research and analysis of industry benchmark data to continuously improve the reliability of value model assumptions & Analyze customer KPI performance data to identify insights and trends that can be presented to customers/prospects to help them understand, measure and optimize their Maersk investment
- Value Modelling: Support center Value Engineering team to build analysis for new/existing value models
- Customer Onboarding: Act as the SME for onboarding and BAU for customers that are nominated / approved for Maersk Value Studio (online VR platform)
Qualifications & Education
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, Master’s degree in Supply Chain is a plus
Certifications: Microsoft certification in Power platforms is a big plus.
Experience: 4-7 years: Experience working in Supply Chain-related or Logistics related or SaaS in Supply Chain related field (is a big plus) with 2-4 years of experience in developing and deploying Power Platform solutions.
Critical Competencies:
- Proficiency in Power Apps & SharePoint data management & data analysis tools and models like Power BI
- Analytical capability to identify trends and insights from data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. An analyst mindset is must.
- Financial acumen to understand inputs and outputs of financial models
- Financial modeling proficiency
- 2+ years’ experience in Value Engineering, Management Consulting, Professional Services, or Solutions Engineering
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Understanding of Supply Chain Management practices and knowledge of Supply Chain strategies and industry best practices
- Excellent English communication (oral, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills.
- Structured and organized way of working
- Process oriented thinking, solution oriented problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills
Key Responsibilities
Develop & Maintain Value Engineering (VR) Platform
- Maintain VR platform using Power Apps.
- Automate workflows and processes using Power Automate.
- Write and maintain Office Scripts for automation tasks.
- Manage and organize data within SharePoint.
- Establish and maintain SQL database connections for data integration.
Data Analysis
- Conduct research and analysis of industry benchmark data to continuously improve the reliability of value model assumptions
- Analyze customer KPI performance data to identify insights and trends that can be presented to customers/prospects to help them understand, measure and optimize their Maersk investment
- Prepare ad-hoc data analysis for existing customers to support with:
Value Modelling
- Support CEN VE team to build analysis for new/existing value models
Customer Onboarding
- Act as the SME for onboarding onto Value Engineering platform
