Validation Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Testing & Validation Engineer to join our Electrical Wiring Accessories (EWA) R&D team at the Havells Centre for Research & Innovation, Noida.

This role is integral to validating nextgeneration switches, sockets, and connected home devicesensuring every Havells product meets worldclass standards of safety, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Testing & Validation

• Plan, execute and manage validation of electrical wiring accessories (Switches, Sockets, Smart Home Devices).
• Conduct type, routine, endurance, thermal, mechanical & electrical performance tests as per IEC/IS/BS/EN standards.
• Develop test protocols, fixtures, and setups for new product development (NPD).
• Analyse test data and prepare detailed technical reports with design improvement recommendations.

2. Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with BIS, IEC, UL, CE, CB and other regulatory standards.
• Support certification activities with national and international bodies.

3. Lab & Equipment Management

• Oversee calibration, maintenance, and reliability of all lab instruments.
• Maintain testing documentation and traceability aligned with ISO/IEC 17025.

4. CrossFunctional Collaboration

• Work closely with R&D design teams, Quality, Production and Procurement.
• Support root-cause analysis for field failures and manufacturing issues.

Qualification & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in EEE / ECE / Instrumentation.
• 36 years of experience in testing & validation of electrical / electronic products.
• Knowledge of standards like IEC 60669, IS 3854, IS 1293, and safety/EMI-EMC guidelines.
