User Experience Design Lead with platform experience such as Salesforce/Conga

User Experience Mission for Lead to Order CRM Ecosystem:

  • Understanding Business and Business Users (End-User) Needs: Delving into how businesses interact with customers and partners, a User Experience Designer can design a platform ecosystem that enhances these relationships and key interactions of end-users.
  • Creating Seamless Journeys focused on User Satisfaction: The goal is to develop solutions that enable smooth and efficient customer and partner journeys, from initial contact to ongoing engagement. Create intuitive and productive experiences that deliver and improve user satisfaction.
  • Designing Intuitive Experiences and Interfaces on Platform Technology, such as Salesforce: Collaborate with business end-users, business analysts, and Salesforce Technical Architects, including development teams, to design Salesforce user flows, screens, and interfaces that are both functional and intuitive, making them easy for users to navigate.
  • Balance Business & User Needs & Technical Feasibility: Find a balance between user needs and business objectives enabled by technology to create effective solutions. Focus on the intersections of three key principles (i) People, (ii) Process and (iii) Platform
  • Promote Adoption: Drive product adoption by creating engaging and user-centred designs.
  • Ensure Design Consistency: Apply design system guidelines to ensure a cohesive user experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate design ideas, requirements, and findings to stakeholders through documentation, presentations, and demos.
  • User-Centred Advocacy: Act as a champion for the user, ensuring designs are intuitive, accessible, and align with business goals to drive adoption and satisfaction.
  • User Research & Insights & documentation: Conduct both quantitative and qualitative research to understand user needs, behaviours, pain points, and preferences, using techniques like interviews, surveys, journey maps, user flows, and usability testing to gather user feedback and understand needs, behaviours, and pain pointsdocument findings.
  • Presenting voice of the users: Leveraging research and informed data points from end-users, articulate and present clear findings to the business and technology teams with user success metrics to remove assumptions.
  • Design & Prototyping: Create key deliverables such as user journey maps, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visual designs that align with Salesforce's design principles and style guides.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, user researchers, and business analysts to translate user needs into design solutions.
  • User Experience (Product) Platform Expertise: Champion the use of out-of-the-box Salesforce capabilities while only considering customisation when there is a clear business benefit balanced with technical feasibility.
  • Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes for Salesforce applications, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet both user and business requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with end-users, developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into designs, ensure feasibility, and align solutions with project goals.
  • Usability Testing & Iteration: Plan and conduct usability tests to gather user feedback and iterate on designs to improve the user experience continuously.
  • Accessibility & Inclusivity: Advocate for and implement designs that are inclusive and accessible to all users, complying with industry standards and regulations.
  • Platform Knowledge (not limited to): Develop a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform , including its customisation capabilities and the Lightning Design System (SLDS) , to guide design solutions and related systems such as Conga
  • Design System Management: Create and maintain design systems with patterns and UI elements to ensure consistency and scalability across Salesforce applications.
  • Documentation: Create detailed design specifications, guidelines, and documentation to support development and implementation.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 8+ years of overall enterprise experience , with a minimum of 3+ years in designing user experience with platform e.g. Salesforce, Conga etc
  • Communication: Clearly explaining complex information into easy-to-understand information to business and technical audience. Can present clearly in English and have strong written communication abilities.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving billing discrepancies and issues.
  • Analytical Thinking: Interpreting financial data and identifying trends in payment behaviour.
  • Attention to Detail: Essential for Accurate Invoice Processing and Payment Application.
  • Time Management: Meeting strict billing deadlines and managing multiple billing cycles.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with and collaborating in diverse teams within a dynamic environment. Substantial experience collaborating well with product managers and engineering, to develop vision, strategy, hands-on design and rationale
  • Adaptability: Adjusting to changes in Enterprise and matrix environment.
  • Team player: Strong team player
  • Demonstrated experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions
  • Workshop facilitation
