Project Controller-Consultant Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited
Project controllers play a key role in supporting large and complex projects at Deloitte. Working closely with project leads and engaging with senior stakeholders, they provide financial management, modeling, and valuable insights to help drive project success. They are responsible for overseeing financial processes and supporting one or multiple project teams.
Work you will do
- Monitor and analyze project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts for multiple projects.
- Prepare regular financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project financial models.
- Provide weekly project financial status reports to relevant project leads and Engagement Team.
- Knowledge in variance Analysis between Forecast and Actuals.
- Good knowledge in Revenue and cost adjustment entries.
Track and report time and expenses in relation to the project budget highlighting KPI
Own engagement trackers and act as the primary point of contact for finance-related engagement queries
Assist the engagement team with pricing queries
Taking ownership of invoice process and vendor cost for controlled projects.- Stakeholder Management.
Provide financial inputs to Change Requests for the project
Reconcile project tracking tool (engagement tracker) and SWIFT regularly
Analyze and identify causes and consequences in project financials - Manage the end-to-end financial management procedures relating to all aspects of the project lifecycle
- Interact with project leads to present financial analysis and discuss recommendations/solutions
Guiding engagement team by highlighting the broader impact of key engagement financial decisions - Prepare financial scenario modelling for engagement teams
- Support the development and implementation of new tools and systems to enhance project management capabilities.
Identify and assist in implementing ongoing process improvements - Report of managed engagements for Consulting leadership team and being accountable for accurate forecast and visibility of engagements
Work location: Hyderabad
Shift timings: 6.30 AM to 3.30 PM
Key Skills Required:
Strong business finance acumen
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Prior experience in engaging with other teams and communicating with senior stakeholders
Prior experience delivering finance-related advice and operational support
The team has the peak period during month ends, wherein the individuals have to work under strict timelines. This is primarily due to the nature of the business
Qualifications
Required
Graduate/Post Graduate (B.Com, BA, BBA) with Financial Background and strong analytical skills
Preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a finance business support role
Good Excel skills and strong computer skills
Team player with a positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
