Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Software Engineer to join our global engineering organization at Precisely. The ideal candidate will work on developing scalable backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications while collaborating closely with distributed teams across geographies. This is a remote role requiring strong technical expertise, ownership mindset, and excellent communication skills.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend components, services, and APIs using Java, Node.js, or Golang.
• Develop modern, responsive front-end and UI components using Angular (for UI-focused roles).
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Precisely engineers on solution design, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Adhere to Precisely coding standards, architectural guidelines, and engineering best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with a strong focus on quality and reliability.
• Work effectively with distributed global teams, ensuring clear communication and thorough documentation.
• Ramp up quickly on Preciselys tools, processes, security practices, and product domains (vendors are expected to conduct initial technical pre-screening and alignment).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of the following technologies:
• Java
• Node.js
• Golang
• Angular (for UI-focused roles)
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and OpenAPI specifications.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and delivering production-grade software.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a global engineering organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• High probability of accepting offers and honoring committed start dates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with U.S. or global clients.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams across time zones, especially IndiaNorth America overlap.
• Exposure to connectors, agents, or integration platforms.
• Experience in data catalog, metadata management, or data lineage solutions.
• Strong inclination toward a spec-first or design-first development mindset.
