US Accounting Manager

Title: US Accounting Manager

Location: Ahmedabad

Shift: Night Shift (6:30 PM IST/7:30 PM IST to 3:30 AM IST/4:30 AM IST)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced US Accounting Manager with strong expertise in US GAAP, audit support, financial reporting, and team leadership. The role involves managing endtoend accounting functions for US-based clients, ensuring compliance with US regulations, delivering accurate financials, and leading a team of accountants to achieve operational excellence.

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage full-cycle US accounting including bookkeeping, monthly close, trial balance, and financial statements.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition, tax accounting, and compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and state regulations.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, variance analysis, sales forecasting, aging reports, and MIS reports.
• Perform AP & AR reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and vendor/supplier management processes.

2. Audit, Compliance & Controls

• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and analytical reviews.
• Internal financial controls.
• Identify process gaps, financial inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in developing and implementing audit and accounting strategies, SOPs, and best practices.

3. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 812 accounting professionals.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, quality checks, and workflow planning.
• Collaborate with US CPA teams, clients, and internal stakeholders for timely deliverables.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation wherever possible.

4. Operational Excellence

• Ensure timely processing of payroll, bill payments, expense management, and month-end activities.
• Review reconciliation statements, margin analysis, and key supplier insights.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience

• 510+ years of experience in US Accounting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX, internal controls, financial reporting, and audit processes.
• Handson experience with AP/AR, bank reconciliation, financial statements, budgeting & forecasting.
• Proven experience in leading teams and managing US client relationships.
• Ability to interpret financial data, perform risk-based analysis, and deliver insights.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA (USA) Pursuing or Completed (added advantage).
• CA Inter / CA-Qualified OR MBA (Finance) / PGDM (Finance).

Tools & Software Expertise

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

QuickBooks, Xero, AppFolio, ZohoBooks, Bill.com, ADP Payroll, Paychex, MS Dynamics 365, Salesforce, NetSuite, Advanced Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP).
