US Accountant

As an Audit Associate (US Audit) , you will be part of a dynamic team supporting the execution of audits for US-based clients in compliance with US GAAP and PCAOB auditing standards. Youll gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end audit process, work with US engagement teams, and contribute to delivering high-quality financial statement audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of audits for US-based clients under US GAAP and PCAOB standards.
• Perform audit procedures including testing of controls, substantive procedures, and analytical reviews.
• Prepare and document work papers in accordance with firm and regulatory requirements.
• Review and test financial statement line items such as cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, revenue, expenses, and equity .
• Support the preparation of audit deliverables lead schedules, confirmations, tie-outs, and disclosure checklists.
• Coordinate with the onsite US audit team for audit planning, progress updates, and issue resolution.
• Identify accounting and auditing issues; assist seniors/managers in developing practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with firms quality standards and documentation protocols .
• Stay updated on developments in US GAAP , PCAOB , and SEC requirements.
• Participate in internal training, learning sessions, and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
• Pursuing or completed CA / CPA / ACCA (or equivalent) preferred.
