Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Azure Generative AI Engineer for one of our client with deep expertise in Azure cloud services and Generative AI technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and building Azure-native GenAI applications using services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure App Services.

This role requires hands-on experience integrating large language models (LLMs) into enterprise applications, building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, and developing scalable AI-powered solutions on the Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Azure-native Generative AI applications using Azure AI services.
• Implement LLM-powered solutions using Azure OpenAI Service.
• Build RAG architectures using Azure AI Search and vector search.
• Develop scalable APIs and backend services using Azure App Services or related compute services.
• Integrate AI applications with enterprise systems and data platforms.
• Optimize prompts and models to improve accuracy, latency, and cost efficiency.
• Work with architects, data scientists, and developers to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.
• Ensure solutions follow security, governance, and compliance standards in Azure.
• Monitor and maintain deployed AI services for performance and reliability.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or AI solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience building applications using Azure OpenAI Service.
• Experience implementing RAG architectures with Azure AI Search.
• Hands-on experience with Azure App Services and API development.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM integration, and AI orchestration.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of vector databases and embeddings.
• Experience with Azure Functions, AKS, or containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with data pipelines and data engineering workflows.
• Azure certifications such as Azure AI Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect.
