Job Title: Manual Tester / Functional Tester

Location: Mumbai (All Areas)

Employment Type: Full-time

Notice period - serving notice period to 30 days only.

Domain Expertise : Strong functional knowledge of the banking/BFSI domain and the end-to-end loan lifecycle processes is mandatory.

Qualification - Full time graduates - B.E/ B.Tech/ M.E/ MCA/ M.Tech

Additional inputs - ISTQB Certified preferable.

Job Summary:

The role requires a deep understanding of Banking domain - Loan Management System / Banking Collections along with Software testing methodologies to validate system functionality, integration, and performance.

• Loan Origination (LOS): Application processing, credit checks, underwriting, and disbursement.
• Loan Management (LMS): Repayment schedules, interest calculations, and non-performing asset (NPA) handling.
• Collections: Delinquency identification, follow-up workflows, DPD (Days Past Due) bucket movement, recovery, and settlement handling.
• Test Planning & Design : Design, document, and maintain detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
• Test Execution : Execute manual test cases, perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing. This includes end-to-end testing of the entire loan lifecycle:
• Defect Management : Identify, log, track, and retest defects and bugs using defect tracking systems like JIRA or ALM , ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaboration : Coordinate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and support user acceptance testing (UAT ).
• Documentation & Reporting : Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, test summaries, and maintain traceability matrices to ensure all requirements are met.

Technical Skills :

• Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC ).
• Knowledge of SQL for backend data validation and database testing.
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA , TestRail , Bugzilla).
• Familiarity with testing web and mobile applications is often desirable.
• Soft Skills :
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment.
