UNIX Administrator

Location: Kolkata

Experience: 3 years to 6years

Interview Date: 2nd Jan 2026

Interview TIME: 11am to 4 pm

Must Have:

1. Must have worked on enterprise grade server hardware (Install, Configure and Maintain)
2. Experience in supporting the following platforms: Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5/6/7/8 SUSE 11/12/15 and AIX 6/7
3. User Management, File system administration using LVM & Native Unix commands, Scheduling Cronjob, Handling NFS server-clients
4. Assists with hardware and software installation, configuration, trouble shooting, patching and backup of client servers
5. Performs hardware and software upgrades. Applies security patches and recommended operating system (OS) patches
6. Provides system performance tuning and performs backups and restores
7. Knowledge in Azure, Hadoop preferred 8. Aware of Incident, Change, Problem management process etc.

Good to have:

1. Very Good Communication skill

2. ITIL certified (Foundation)

Roles & Responsibilities:

1 Troubleshooting of incidents related to any UNIX technology flavour

2 Implement changes in Unix infrastructure.

3 Take part in analysis and designing for new project requirement

4 Managing escalations in crisis situation.
