Role Overview

As a UI/UX Designer, youll shape the visual and interactive soul of GrowQR from seamless mobile QR scanning and real-time AI chats to elegant public profiles showcasing Q-Scores, intuitive dashboards for individuals/enterprises/institutions, and phygital experiences in Opportunity Studios. Youll create designs that build instant trust (verified credentials feel secure & modern), drive delight (AI feels helpful, not robotic), and ensure inclusivity for millions of users across devices and demographics. High ownership: your work directly impacts how people discover, verify, and unlock their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end UX/UI for web (responsive dashboards, public profiles, admin portals) and mobile apps (QR scanning, on-the-go assessments, opportunity alerts, AI interactions)
• Design intuitive flows for core features: QR generation/scanning, Q-Score visualization (multi-dimensional gauges, growth matrices, benchmarks), skill verification journeys, AI agent conversations, and personalized opportunity matching
• Create high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, user flows, and design systems (components, icons, typography, motion) that scale across products
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers (React/Next.js + React Native), and AI/ML teams to translate complex concepts (readiness scoring, Agentic AI) into simple, joyful experiences
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterate based on feedback from diverse users (youth, professionals, recruiters, institutions)
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG), mobile-first responsiveness, dark/light modes, and performance-friendly designs
• Contribute to visual identity: modern, trustworthy aesthetic with emphasis on QR as hero element, vibrant yet professional colors, clear data viz, and motivational micro-interactions
• Design assets for Opportunity Studios (phygital signage, event apps, onboarding kiosks) and marketing collateral
• Participate in sprint planning, design critiques, and help maintain a consistent GrowQR design system

Must-Have Skills

• 37+ years crafting pixel-perfect UI/UX for consumer + B2B products (edtech, HR-tech, AI platforms preferred)
• Mastery of Figma (advanced prototyping, auto-layout, variables, design systems)
• Strong portfolio showcasing mobile + web projects (bonus for QR/scanning flows, data-heavy dashboards, AI/chat interfaces, or profile/social features)
• Expertise in user-centered design: journey mapping, wireframing, usability testing, information architecture
• Deep understanding of mobile UX patterns (iOS/Android), gesture interactions, camera/QR permissions, offline states
• Visual design sense: typography, color theory, iconography, motion design (Framer Motion / Lottie a plus)
• Familiarity with design systems (Atomic Design principles)
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge to collaborate effectively with developers

Nice-to-Haves (Big Differentiators)

• Experience designing for AI products (chat interfaces, personalized recommendations, scoring visualizations)
• Work on talent/education/HR platforms (profiles, assessments, matching engines)
• QR code / scanning UX (camera flows, error states, success animations)
• Data visualization (gauges, radars, progress rings for multi-dimensional scores)
• Motion design & micro-interactions that feel premium and trustworthy
• Branding / visual identity work for startups
• User research in India/multilingual contexts (English + Hindi support)
• Tools: Framer, Principle, After Effects, Notion/Miro for research

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong portfolio link (Behance/Dribbble/personal site) must include process (research wireframes final UI)
• Excellent communication & storytelling skills (present designs confidently)
• Passion for democratizing opportunities through intuitive tech
• English fluency; Hindi/regional language understanding is a plus
