Key Responsibilities:SAM Process Ownership & Execution:Lead and manage end-to-end Software Asset Management lifecycle across the organization.Develop, implement, and maintain SAM policies, standards, and procedures.Ensure compliance with software licensing terms and conditions.ISO/IEC 19770 Alignment:Conduct periodic SAM maturity assessments to benchmark and improve SAM capabilities.Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on ISO SAM maturity model outcomes.ELP (Effective License Position) Review:Perform regular ELP reviews to assess license compliance and optimization opportunities.Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to validate entitlements and contracts.Identify risks related to under-licensing or over-licensing and recommend mitigation strategies.SAM Tool Management & Optimization:Administer and optimize SAM tools (e.g., Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow SAM Pro, etc.).Integrate SAM tools with CMDB, procurement, and ITSM platforms for accurate data flow.Ensure tool configurations support automated discovery, normalization, and reconciliation.Stakeholder Engagement:Work closely with IT, procurement, finance, and legal teams to ensure alignment on SAM goals.Provide training and awareness sessions on SAM best practices across departments.Reporting & Analytics:Generate dashboards and reports on software usage, compliance status, and cost savings.Present insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
