As a Transformation Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will be responsible for managing the liquidity, balance sheet, and capital positions of the investment banking businesses, establishing transparent and market-based funds transfer pricing policy, and developing methodologies and metrics to improve the leverage, capital, collateral and liquidity risk management capabilities of the Corporate and Investment Bank.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to an innovative team by creating sustainable end-to-end strategic solutions, defining business requirements, and conducting user acceptance testing, while supporting in-depth data analysis.
- Develop a keen familiarity with the CIB’s data systems and tools, supporting both short-term and long-term technology strategies.
- Proactively identify and translate business challenges related to capital and liquidity management into quantitative analyses and user-friendly tools for a broad audience.
- Collaborate effectively to establish close partnerships with peers across CIB Treasury, the greater CIB organization, and Corporate Treasury/CIO.
- Communicate complex analyses, concepts, and tools to stakeholders both inside and outside of CIB Treasury in a clear and concise manner.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or equivalent is a must.
- University degree in a highly quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, engineering) with finance degree (MBA) is required.
- Proven experience programming Python, or any other statistical programming language; Strong excel skills are a must.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills are essential. Imperative to self manage project requirements and present information in a clear and concise manner to a wide variety of audiences
- Passionate about tackling difficult questions, conducting data analysis, and crafting a cohesive solution
- Experience collecting, aggregating, and curating structured and unstructured datasets from various sources
- Must be versatile, able to work effectively independently or as contributor to a team, on multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with Balance Sheet and Banking/markets products is plus.
- Development of web-based analytics and applications (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, QlikView, Atoti etc) is plus.
- Self-starter, able to organize, and execute responsibilities with limited supervision, taking ownership of tasks at hand.
- Ability to work under pressure, rapidly prototype solutions, prioritize multiple tasks and bring projects to completion.
