Role Description

Treasury is responsible for sourcing, management, and optimisation of the Bank’s financial resources. Treasury operates across the globe with major hubs in Frankfurt, London, Singapore, and New York

The candidate will be part of Treasury Planning & Performance Management which is responsible for overseeing the resource and P&L consequences of Treasury’s activities funding the bank as well as open interest rate risk across the group. Within that the Liquidity, Funding and FTP planning team projects the funding and liquidity needs of the firm, the external P&L which Treasury will incur meeting those needs and the internal P&L flows from Funds Transfer Pricing.

The goal of the function is to provide the transparency and drive the dialogue on optimizing balance sheet productivity.

Your key responsibilities

Financial Analysis

Undertaking analysis to support the Planning, Forecasting and Performance management of Treasury’s External Cost and Business Transfers. Lead the Balance Sheet Planning & Management team in various analysis by sourcing relevant MI and performing analytical review and messaging. Finalising materials for Performance Review Meetings for various business divisions Ensure adequate documentation for all the processes which meets the audit requirement

Team Development and Leadership

Develop the role over time into a Team Lead for Mumbai to provide Leadership through active demonstration of the DB’s Values & Beliefs and ongoing coaching and mentoring of team members. Contribute to the wider Treasury agenda in the Mumbai team and act as a catalyst for its growth.

Process automation

Leading the automation agenda for the entire planning team and partnering with Technology to design and develop reporting tools, with a focus on automation. Designing and creating static and dynamic reporting to facilitate regular performance management of Treasury. Maintain and update process flows of all the processes run across the team.

Your skills and experience

• CA / MBA (Finance) with 10-12 years of relevant work experience (Financial Services industry experience preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management; ability to tune approach to role and seniority of communication recipient.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to understand concepts and efficiently assess current processes and make sense of numbers.
• Strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills to translate business concepts/needs into clear management communication and requirements for IT implementation partners.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
