Treasury Desk Officer

Job Summary:

The Treasury Desk Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely recording and processing of foreign exchange (FX) transactions for our clients. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity of all FX deals, maintaining meticulous documentation, and providing essential support for reconciliation and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, foundational financial knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately record and process all foreign exchange (FX) transactions initiated by clients.

Ensure timely booking of FX deals into the relevant systems.

Maintain comprehensive and proper documentation for all FX transactions, adhering to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Support daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation activities for FX transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.

Assist in compliance checks and audits to ensure all FX operations meet regulatory standards and internal controls.

Collaborate effectively with front office, back office, and other support teams to ensure seamless transaction flow and issue resolution.

Respond to internal and external queries related to FX transaction processing and documentation.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Treasury operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a similar quantitative field.

Prior experience on a bank FX or trading desk is highly desirable.

Proven strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and ability to work as a team.

Proficiency in Hindi is desirable.
