About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Treasury Analyst.

The Portfolio Analytics and Control Unit (PACU) Data Governance team is responsible for designing and executing the governance framework for treasury collateral reporting data. This role requires strong industry knowledge of collateral and liquidity data. The primary responsibilities include researching governance and oversight (G&O) policies, defining and designing process and procedure documentation aligned to the G&O framework, developing executive presentations and reporting, and identifying G&O data quality requirements for compliance. This role will be a collateral and liquidity SME (Repos, Rev Repos, HQLA, Firm Long and Short, etc.), answering questions and giving guidance around the different types of information and data within this area.


In this role, you will:

  • Plan and set policies and guidelines for managing global treasury activities including funding, liquidity risk management, asset and liability management, capital management, financial performance management, and related activities
  • Monitor and evaluate global market conditions, asset liability and liquidity risk management
  • Provide overall advisory on treasury finance risk
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management and Model Governance teams as well as outside parties including regulatory agencies, accounting and consulting firms
  • Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting and a BTECH, MBA, ACA Inter, ACMA Inter, CFA, CA, CMA or higher
  • Strong financial services experience dealing with liquidity and collateral management
  • Strong experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, policy governance, process and procedure development and/or compliance analysis
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to present reports to and interact with senior leaders
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment
  • 2+ years of risk and regulatory reporting knowledge (i.e.: FR2052a, 5G, etc.)
  • 1+ years of Agile experience
  • 1+ years of JIRA
  • 1+ years of data quality experience

Job Expectations:

  • Act as the collateral and liquidity data SME
  • Develop process and procedure documentation aligned to defined policies
  • Create executive level presentations
  • Collaborate with partners to understand data usage and business needs, and leverage that knowledge to define new reporting measurements and metric opportunities.
  • Monitor progress reporting in JIRA
  • Complex analysis of reporting defects and enhancement requirements
