Treasury Accounting Specialist | One of the Large IT group in India

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Treasury Accounting Specialist with strong expertise in equity and debt instruments, private equity, derivatives, and IFRS-based financial reporting. The ideal

candidate will support treasury operations and backend accounting while ensuring accurate

accounting treatment, compliance, and risk management of financial instruments.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury & Investment Operations

Support day-to-day treasury operations, including cash management and investment

accounting.

Monitor and account for investments across equities, bonds, private equity, and other treasury

instruments.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties on investment-related

transactions.

Accounting & Compliance

Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of financial instruments in compliance with IFRS.

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial disclosures related to treasury

activities.

Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements.

Derivatives & Contracts

Account for derivative instruments, including valuation, hedge accounting, and documentation.

Review and interpret financial contracts to ensure appropriate accounting treatment.

Risk Assessment & Controls

Assist in assessing financial risks related to investments and treasury activities.

Support internal controls, policies, and procedures for treasury and investment accounting.

Private Equity

Manage accounting, reporting, and valuation support for private equity investments.

Track capital calls, distributions, and investment performance.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

CPA / CA / CFA (or progress toward certification) preferred.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience in treasury, investment accounting, or financial reporting.

Strong understanding of IFRS, particularly accounting for financial instruments.

Hands-on experience with equities, bonds, private equity, derivatives, and treasury instruments.
