Job Description
A Travel Desk Job involves managing all employee/client travel logistics (flights, hotels, transport, visas), ensuring policy compliance, negotiating vendor rates, handling last-minute changes/emergencies, and providing support, requiring strong organization, communication, and problem-solving for cost-effective, smooth travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Booking & Coordination: Arrange flights, trains, hotels, and ground transport for domestic/international trips.
- Policy & Budget: Ensure all bookings adhere to company travel policies and budgets.
- Vendor Management: Source, negotiate with, and manage relationships with airlines, hotels, and other suppliers.
- Customer Support: Act as a point of contact for travel-related queries, updates, and emergencies (cancellations/delays).
- Documentation: Handle visa applications, manage travel insurance, and maintain travel records.
- Reporting: Prepare travel expense reports (MIS) and analyze data for cost savings.
- Event Support: May assist with organizing offsite meetings or corporate events.
