Transportation Planner

Job Description

We are looking for a VISUM Modeler -Transportation Planner to support transportation planning and traffic engineering projects within the Roads & Highways sector. The role involves traffic data analysis, transport modeling, traffic impact studies, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions for infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic data collection activities including traffic counts and surveys
• Support traffic demand analysis, forecasting, and transportation master planning
• Assist in development and calibration of traffic models and network simulations
• Perform trip generation, traffic volume analysis, and junction capacity assessments
• Prepare traffic impact assessment (TIA) and transportation study reports
• Develop drawings such as circulation plans, parking layouts, and signage plans
• Coordinate with project managers for client meetings, presentations, and technical clarifications
• Support reviews and approvals with clients and authorities
• Perform peer reviews and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks within project schedules

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Masters in Transport Planning

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering
• Experience working with reputed consultancy firms preferred
• Exposure to Traffic Impact Studies and Transport Planning projects
• Middle East experience is an advantage
