Job Description
Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is an Amazon service for third
- party sellers – enabling them to provide fast and efficient delivery to their customers.
FBA enables Selling Partners to hand over the heavy lifting of warehousing, payment processing, delivery returns and customer service to Amazon, utilizing the capabilities that Amazon has built over the last 25+ years.
This frees them to concentrate on what they do best – finding and developing new products and marketing them to potential customers.
FBA Inbound Operations oversees interaction across Seller, Carrier and Fulfilment Center (FC), ensuring that the freight is picked
- up on time and is delivered at FC as per the given appointment.
Trans Ops Specialist on Inbound addresses any potential issues occurring during the lifecycle of shipment's inbound journey to the FC.
A Trans Ops Specialist provides timely resolution to the issue on hand by researching and querying internal tools and taking real
- time decisions.
An ideal candidate should be able to understand the requirements/be able to analyze data and notice trends and be able to drive Seller Experience without compromising on time.
The candidate should have the basic understanding of Logistics and should be able to communicate clearly in the written and oral form.
Trans Ops Specialist should be able to drive process improvements and deploy them at scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Sellers/Suppliers) and internal customers (Account Managers, In
- stock Managers, Fulfillment Centers)
- Extract and analyze data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems), perform ad
- hoc reporting as needed.
- Develop and/or track performance metrics to assist with driving business results.
- Scope out business and functional requirements for the Amazon technology teams who create and enhance the software systems and tools.
- Quickly understand business impact of observed trends and make decisions that make sense based on available data.
- Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.
- Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL
