Role Summary

The Training & Placement Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all training, internship, and placement activities for students. The role acts as a bridge between the institution, students, and industry to ensure maximum employability and placement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Placement Activities

Build and maintain strong relationships with companies, recruiters, and industry partners

Coordinate campus recruitment drives, interviews, and selection processes

Share job notifications, eligibility criteria, and selection updates with students

Ensure smooth conduct of placement drives (venue, logistics, student coordination)

Maintain placement statistics and reports (offers, CTC, company-wise data)

Internships & Industry Exposure

Facilitate internships, live projects, and industrial training opportunities

Coordinate with departments for internship tracking and documentation

Maintain internship records as per university requirements.)

Student Coordination

Guide students on career paths, resume building, and interview preparation

Ensure discipline, punctuality, and professional conduct during drives

Address student queries related to placements, internships, and training

Administration & Reporting

Maintain databases of students, recruiters, and placement outcomes

Prepare reports for management, accreditation bodies (NBA, NAAC, NIRF)

Coordinate with HODs and department placement coordinators

Ensure timely communication via email, notices, and portals

Qualifications

Bachelors / Masters degree (Engineering / Management)

Prior experience in Training & Placement / Corporate Relations (preferred)

Experience

• 35 years of experience in placements & corporate liaison (preferred)
