Position description:

Key Role & Responsibilities: Performing Application IT Operations as per defined operational processes and tools.

Specific Responsibilities

·        Knowledge Management –

o   Documentation to define and understand scope of work (SOW).

o   Application awareness, its key components and business flows.

o   Support scope and actions to be performed in production / live environment.

·         Monitoring and Event Management –

o   Perform monitoring and health check of Production environment comprising of Linux/ Windows based applications.

o   Identify and Review system Events/Alerts to be covered for monitoring.

·        Incident and Problem Management –

o   Production Incident troubleshooting – Escalate and resolve.

o   Perform incident analysis as part of operational efficiency.

o   Identify repetitive Incidents - Create and assign Problem Tickets to L3 / ADM teams.

·        Service Request Management –

o   Fulfil end user requests received via Ticketing Tool.

o   Timely closure and/or escalation of service requests.

·        Change Management –

o   Perform production changes basis guidelines & SOP documents received from Development team.

o   Monitor change wrt Success and Failure – Escalate and perform revert back of Production changes as per SOP document.

o   Create & Review of release scripts/utilities for operational efficiency.

·        Stakeholder Communication –

o   Follow established escalation matrix and procedures.

o   Participate in periodic service review call with all internal & external teams comprising of technology, business and/or partner teams.

·        Security and Compliance

o   Strict adherence to Organization’s Security and Compliance guidelines.

o   Staying up-to date / informed of the changes to policies and procedures.

Required Skills:

·         Knowledge of Linux based OS concepts, Linux commands, Java/C, Scripting, SQL/PLSQL, RDBMS, Python and code release methodologies etc.

·         Knowledge of client server and Java based 3 tier applications in Linux / Windows.

·         Knowledge of software development life cycle

·         Knowledge of application monitoring concepts and Tools.

·        Good Analytical skills, Problem solving.

·        Good Communication skills

·        Good Documentation skills

Good to have skills:

·         Latest Java / J2EE framework

·         Any additional training certifications with latest technologies

·         Knowledge of various automation tool (ITRS, ServiceNow, Control M etc)
