Job Description
Job Summary:
The Trainee Scheduler is responsible for assisting in the creation and management of employee schedules within the casino gaming environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in Scheduling: Collaborate with senior schedulers to create and adjust employee work schedules to ensure adequate staffing in casino gaming areas, including dealers, pit bosses, floor staff, and other casino personnel.
• Monitor Shift Coverage: Ensure that there is enough coverage for all gaming tables, slots, and casino areas by tracking staffing levels and making necessary adjustments.
• Data Entry & Reporting: Input scheduling data into the casino’s scheduling software, track time off requests, overtime, and attendance records. Generate reports as required for management review.
• Assist with Payroll: Help with basic payroll duties by ensuring employees’ hours are correctly logged and submitted for payroll processing.
• Staff Requests and Adjustments: Respond to staff requests for time off, shift swaps, or other scheduling changes, ensuring minimal disruption to casino operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: Higher Secondary Diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a college degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field).
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with scheduling software or workforce management systems is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure schedules are accurate and staff coverage is sufficient.
