The Custody Middle Office Department is responsible for ensuring all aspects of operations for clients are completed, transactions are processed on time, exceptions are resolved proactively; provide single point of contact team and subject matter expertise to the clients. Middle Office covers trade instruction capture, settlement; fail management, cash instruction capture, projections, overdrafts, asset servicing instruction capture, dividends, foreign exchange, collateral, derivatives lifecycle management and bank loans.

Job Summary 

As a Transaction Processing Team Lead within the Global Market Products team, you will be tasked with the operational management and control of the daily workflow, specifically from a Breaks Investigation perspective. Your responsibilities will include investigating exceptions or breaks on the back of JPM books versus Agent banks, collaborating with both internal and external parties on asset positions and cash balance changes, and arranging instructions to resolve any exceptions. You will also work closely with other Utility teams to ensure complete traction and reporting of breaks, maintain and certify procedures, incorporate any changes, and collaborate with managers for review. Additionally, you will work with managers on strategic initiatives to support the continuous improvement pillar and actively participate with any ideas or suggestions in daily team huddles and review calls.

 

Job responsibilities 

  • Investigate exceptions / breaks on back of JPM books vs Agent banks 
  • Collaborate with Internal & external parties  on asset positions and cash balance change and arrange for instructions to resolve the exception
  • Work with other Utility teams on complete traction and reporting of breaks 
  • Maintain and certify procedures and incorporate any changes and work with managers for review 
  • Work with managers on strategic initiatives to support the continuous improvement pillar 
  • Be active participant with any idea or suggestion in daily team huddle and review calls.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills  

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office application and Alteryx tools 
  • Proficient in MIS Reporting and making story dashboard board
  • Email drafting and problem articulating skills

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Operations, Trade processing, & Settlements background 
  • Reconciliations backgrounds
