Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gandhinagar for a Trade Accountant.

Responsibilities will include managing and reconciling trade transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves preparing financial reports, assisting in audits, working closely with the trading and treasury teams, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The Trade Accountant will also oversee transaction settlements and collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes. Responsibilities include

• Daily P&L Reporting & Reconciliation:Calculate daily P&L, valuation of open contracts, and reconcile trading systems with custodian records and prime brokers.
• Security Valuation:Monitor and validate market prices, cost accruals, and mark-to-market valuations for investment portfolios.
• Front-to-Back Reconciliation:Reconcile Front Office trade captures with Back-Office data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Transaction Processing:Support daily trading, settlement, and cash management activities, including margin call reviews.
• Accounting & Compliance:Prepare month-end journal postings and ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, or specific regulatory frameworks
• Stakeholder Management:Liaise with traders, PMs, and COO to provide insight into trading results and cash flow.
• System Upgrades:Contribute to the improvement of automated trading systems and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting and financial software
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Qualified Chartered Accountant
• Prior experience in trade accounting or financial services is highly desirable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
