Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Tour Planner with a strong background in the travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate should be proficient in planning customized itineraries, selling domestic and international travel packages, and handling booking operations using GDS systems (Amadeus & Sabre) . Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand customer requirements are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Create customized domestic and international travel itineraries based on client preferences and budgets.
• Handle end-to-end tour package sales , including inquiry handling, package presentation, pricing, and closure.
• Manage flight, hotel, and transport bookings using GDS systems (Amadeus and Sabre) .
• Communicate professionally with clients via phone, email, and in person to understand their travel needs.
• Provide accurate information regarding travel destinations, visa requirements, policies, and package details.
• Coordinate with hotels, airlines, and vendors to ensure smooth travel arrangements.
• Upsell additional services such as travel insurance, sightseeing options, transfers, etc.
• Resolve customer queries promptly and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain records of bookings, payments, and itinerary details.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in tour planning, travel consulting, or holiday package sales .
• Strong knowledge of GDS platforms , especially Amadeus and Sabre (mandatory).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
• Ability to develop attractive and well-structured itineraries.
• Good understanding of domestic & international destinations, flights, hotels, and travel products.
• Sales-oriented approach with the ability to meet targets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, office-based environment.

Preferred

• Certification or training in Amadeus/Sabre/GDS operations.
• Prior experience with DMCs, travel agencies, or tour operators.
