Job Title: Total Rewards Manager - India Benefits
Location: India, Remote
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Benefits Expert to take end-to-end ownership of the India Benefits portfolio. This role requires deep domain knowledge of India benefits, a keen eye for compliance, and the ability to strategically design and administer market-competitive programs. The ideal candidate will be an "Early Manager" with a proven track record in managing critical activities like insurance renewals, car lease programs, and vendor partnerships.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Program Management & Administration:
Own the end-to-end management of critical India benefits programs, including Medical Insurance, Group Personal Accident (GPA), Group Term Life (GTL), Company Car lease, and National Pension Scheme (NPS).
Manage insurance renewals, including robust vendor management and negotiation to ensure optimal coverage and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee benefits administration and coordinate with the payroll team where required.
Handle employee benefits queries, communications, and escalations.
Manage the company car lease policy and its administration.
Strategy & Design:
Review existing benefit policies and programs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and enhancement.
Design demographic-appropriate benefits to ensure relevance and engagement across the employee base.
Partner with other regional Benefits leaders to share insights and adopt global best practices.
Conduct regular benefits policy audits to ensure accuracy and fairness.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure all benefits programs are in full compliance with local statutory requirements and governance standards.
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, particularly with internal teams and external vendors.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Overall Experience: 6 to 8 Years (Early Manager preferred).
Specific Domain Experience: 4 to 5+ years dedicated to India benefits ownership.
Must Have:
Independently led and executed at least one full insurance cycle (renewal and management).
Demonstrated experience in managing a company car lease policy.
Strong track record in stakeholder and vendor management.
System Exposure: Working knowledge of Workday or other major HRMS platforms.
