About the role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Total Rewards Analyst with 4+ years of experience to drive total rewards frameworks at Dezerv. This role will work closely with the Founders, Finance, and People teams to ensure we build competitive, compliant, and performance-aligned compensation.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy
- Strategic Support & Design: Execute Dezerv's overall cash and equity compensation philosophy, designing total rewards strategies (including variable pay) tailored to boost employee engagement and performance.
- Compensation Planning & Job Evaluation: Assist in maintaining our job architecture, including role mapping, salary adjustments, benchmarking for new and existing roles, and regular job description updates.
- Market Benchmarking: Actively participate in top-tier salary and benefits surveys (e.g., Mercer, Aon) to gather and analyze intelligence on the Consumer Tech and BFSI ecosystems.
- Performance & Pay Cycle Management: Support the annual merit, bonus, and salary review processes, including complex data modeling and pay equity audits.
ESOPs, Incentives & Business Performance
- Equity Administration: Own the operational execution of Dezerv's ESOP strategy. Manage the administration, vesting tracking, and communication of employee stock option grants.
- Business Incentives: Structure, optimize, and evaluate variable pay and performance incentives across functions, ensuring tight alignment with business metrics.
Data Analytics, Budgeting & Insights
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Manage complex, high-volume datasets to provide actionable insights. Ensure utmost data integrity and create comprehensive reports for senior management on compensation spend, comp ratios, predictive attrition, and reward effectiveness.
- Budgeting: Partner with the Finance team to conduct annual budgeting for people costs, modeling various headcount planning scenarios.
- HRIS Management: Create, maintain, and analyze compensation data within HRIS/People platforms to automate and streamline reward processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Effective Communication: Partner with the People Success team to communicate compensation policies effectively across the organization, ensuring complete transparency.
- People Success Partner Enablement: Provide data-backed guidance to People Success Partners (PSPs) and Talent Acquisition (TA) on compensation proposals for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Leadership Advisory: Proactively advise founders and senior leadership on emerging market practices to keep Dezerv's reward strategies ahead of the curve.
What Were Looking For
- Experience: 47 years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, or People Analytics.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in a fast-paced Consumer Tech, Fintech, or startup environment is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Data & Tech Prowess: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets (vlookups, pivot tables, complex modeling). Strong ability to interpret, analyze, and present complex data. Experience with HRIS systems and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) and proficiency with AI tool.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of Indian payroll laws, ESOP structuring, and statutory compliance.
- A high level of initiative, resilience, precision, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You must have a high ownership mindset with influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
