Thought Leadership Analyst - Assistant Vice President

Who we are looking for:

The Thought Leadership team is looking for individuals who are up for marking our mark in the financial services industry from day one. This is an opportunity join State Street’s growing Thought Leadership team, providing research and analysis of key market trends to our global client base of investment institutions. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong writing, research and analysis skills, as well as a good understanding of (and ideally experience writing about) the financial services and investment industries.

What you will be responsible for:

• Engaging with senior stakeholders throughout State Street to understand business priorities and major trends across our key markets and client segments
• Designing proprietary research assessing our clients’ strategic and operational responses to these trends
• Analysing the results of this research, along with information from a wide range of public and other sources to provide unique insights into the implications of these trends for our clients
• Creating content (written, recorded and video) based on this analysis, targeted at relevant clients, to provide them with market intelligence to guide their business and investment strategies, and give them insights into their peers’, clients’ and competitors’ strategic thinking

What we value:

• 8+ years of experience in financial industry
• Strong quantitative skills and data analytics
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to execute independently and also maintain strong team orientation
• Deadline and detail oriented
• Demonstrated computer proficiency, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Journalism
• Financial Industry / Consulting / Journalism experience
