Role profile:
The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Group Risk approach to third party and opertaional resiliencerisk management.
Partnering with the Group 1st line teams, the successful candidate will lead work in developing and further improving our approach to provide oversight and management of our third party and operational resilience portfolio of risks, whilst meeting external regulatory requirements.
The candidate will oversee the Third party risk policy, ensuring they set out the requirements appropriate for the organisation and any ongoing regulatory requirements. Whilst there is a strategic transformation of the Group-wide Third Party Risk Management programme and delivery of the future state, the senior manager will help deliver the key operating procedures and appropriate management information including risk management of the strategic and systemic third party supplier risks.
Core responsibilities:
- Aligned to the key divisions of LSEG, work alongside the Group first line and entity teams in both 1st and 2nd line to identify, assess, manage, mitigate and report on third party and operational resilience risks
- Establish and develop key partnerships and relationships within the supported divisions, risk organisation and across the Group
- Maintain a well-rounded view of all critical third party suppliers mapped to the Division, and provide support to ensure TPRM Policy requirements are met.
- Oversee that operational resilience risks are identified, owned, measured, monitored, managed and reported in line with the Non-Financial Risk Framework in order that they can be managed within an acceptable appetite and in an efficient manner to enable informed decisions to be taken and to manage threats and exploit opportunities.
Essential experience and skills required:
- Extensive experience of operational or non-financial risk management professional who has worked within 1st or 2nd line of defence on the topic of third party and operational resilience risk management
- Proven track record in delivering results and using knowledge of third party and operational resilience risk management
- Familiar with intermediate IT tools and Procurement systems, ability to provide management information to assist processes
- Ability to build relationships, influence and act as an expert across the organisation up to Executive level
- Excellent communication and influencing skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to cut through complexity, be pragmatic and get things done
