Calix is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Test Lead to join our team in the India office. The ideal candidate will lead the testing efforts for the cybersecurity features of our platform, ensuring the highest quality and performance of our products. This role requires a deep understanding of network security, test methodologies, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the testing efforts for network security features, including planning, designing, and executing test cases.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and provide feedback.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for network security features.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage and identify areas for improvement in the testing process.
• Mentor and guide junior test engineers, providing technical leadership and support.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in network security and testing technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on network security features.
• Strong understanding of network security concepts, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in network security testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Certifications in network security or software testing (e.g., CISSP, CISA, ISTQB).
• Experience testing network security appliances, such as NGFW, Antivirus, IPS/IDS, WAF, systems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with a wide array of network traffic generation test tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and tools.

Location: India – (Flexible hybrid work model - work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter)
