About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Software Test Infrastructure Development Engineer to architect and build the next-generation test automation infrastructure powering validation of LiDAR firmware, perception software, and embedded automotive platforms.

In this role, you will lead the design of scalable, high-performance test frameworks that ensure end-to-end software quality, traceability, and compliance with automotive safety standards. You will work closely with firmware engineers, perception algorithm teams, system architects, and QA leaders to deliver robust validation systems for cutting-edge autonomous technologies.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will drive both technical architecture and engineering excellence across automated testing infrastructure.


What Youll Do

Architect Test Infrastructure

  • Design and build scalable Python/C++ based automation frameworks to validate embedded LiDAR firmware and perception systems.
  • Develop infrastructure enabling fully automated end-to-end testing, ensuring traceability from requirements test cases defect tracking.
  • Implement frameworks that support large-scale regression, functional, performance, and security testing.

Drive System-Level Validation

  • Develop automated validation pipelines for embedded devices and distributed automotive systems.
  • Enable testing across Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), simulators, and physical testbeds.
  • Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous validation.

Lead Engineering Excellence

  • Mentor and guide a team of engineers developing automation tools and test cases.
  • Establish coding standards, code reviews, and best practices for automation development.
  • Break down complex validation problems into actionable engineering tasks and sprint deliverables.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

  • Partner with Firmware, DSP/Perception teams, and Product Quality groups to define testing strategies.
  • Translate product requirements into comprehensive validation frameworks.
  • Work with product owners and architects to align quality strategies with business goals.

Ensure Automotive Compliance

  • Build validation infrastructure aligned with automotive safety and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure testing frameworks support compliance with ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and ASPICE requirements.


Basic Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 812 years of experience in embedded software testing or validation infrastructure
  • Strong programming expertise in Python and C++
  • Experience developing automation frameworks for embedded systems
  • Strong understanding of Embedded Linux environments


Technical Skills

  • Embedded device testing and automation
  • Python / C++ automation frameworks
  • Docker, Kubernetes, containerized testing environments
  • CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket)
  • REST APIs, UI automation (Selenium / Playwright)
  • Linux services, SSH, shell scripting
  • Computer networking fundamentals
  • Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing
  • Agile development practices and sprint-based development workflows
  • Defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA)


Nice to Have

  • Strong knowledge of automotive standards: ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, ASPICE
  • Experience working with ADAS, autonomous driving, LiDAR, or EV software systems
  • Experience with requirements traceability tools such as JAMA
  • Familiarity with automotive perception and sensor validation pipelines
